Hiromu Takahashi, formerly of New Japan Pro-Wrestling, has debuted in WWE under the new name ‘Kyoki’. He was introduced on WWE SmackDown as the new tag team partner for Shinsuke Nakamura, a pairing intended to challenge the current Tag Team Champions, the MFTs (Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga). Following his television debut, Kyoki competed in his first match during a dark taping in Ottawa, Canada, where he defeated Kit Wilson. This partnership follows a storyline where Nakamura sought an ally after being attacked by Tama Tonga and his brother. The duo is reportedly expected to be trademarked under the name ‘Bakusai’. Before joining WWE, Kyoki established a highly decorated career in Japan, which included five reigns as the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and multiple wins in the Best of the Super Juniors tournament. Recently, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis announced that the duo, performing as Bakusai, will make their first televised tag team appearance next week. They are scheduled to face The Miz and Kit Wilson.
