The researchers note that the extreme pressure‑temperature conditions of a nuclear detonation can generate entirely new substances, implying that additional, as‑yet‑undetected materials may remain in the debris. The work points toward the potential development of heat‑resistant alloys and deepens understanding of the chemical and physical fallout from nuclear explosions.
