Honda Vietnam has expanded its local product lineup through the introduction of new electric and internal combustion engine models. In mid-October, the company transitioned to domestic assembly for the UC3 electric scooter, replacing imports from Thailand. The locally produced UC3 features a 6.24 kW motor, an LFP battery with a 120 km range, and is being offered at promotional prices to compete with domestic electric vehicles. By late October, Honda announced the 2027 versions of its premium SH160i and SH125i scooters. scooters, scheduled for release at authorized dealers on November 10, 2026. These updated models are feature redesigned eSP+ 4-valve engines designed to meet Euro 4 emission standards, which reportedly reducing reduce pollutants such as CO, HC, and NOx by approximately 60% through redesigned eSP+ 4-valve engines. However, the SH125i shows a listed price increase of approximately 1.4 to 1.6 million VND. This is attributed to VAT calculations: the SH125i is currently listed using a 10 percent rate, though it falls under an 8 percent VAT bracket. If current tax reductions are not extended, the SH125i price is expected to adjust.
