Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.5 ~~and 4.6~~ to 4.7 updates and leaks

HoYoverse has launched the second half of the Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.5 update, ‘To Roll the Stars in Astropolis’. This phase introduces the limited five-star character Aventurine (Quantum, Path of Elation), voiced by Kengo Kawanishi, alongside a rerun of the five-star character Fushi (Lightning, Path of Hunt), voiced by Takehito Koyasu. The update also includes the ‘Great Adventure in a Small World’ in-game event. Version 4.6, titled ‘A Dance with the Beast on the Eve of the Moonlight’, is scheduled for global release on September 28, 2026. The narrative explores the aftermath of Nihilux revealing their identity as Aha, the Aeon of Elation, and shifts to the Institute of Life Sciences in Astrópolis. Players will investigate a conspiracy led by Madame Yabuli involving the weaponization of biological shells and potential links to factions worshipping the Voracity, which threatens the stability of Planarcadia. The update ~~will introduce~~ introduces Pearl, a new five-star Ice-type character from the IPC’s Ten Stonehearts following the Path of Elation. Pearl features defensive support mechanics, such as the ability to absorb damage for allies and provide bonuses to teams composed of Elation-path characters. ~~Pearl is expected to debut in the first phase banner.~~ Preloading for ~~the update commenced~~ Version 4.6 began on September 24, 2026, with file sizes of 3.58 GB for PC and 2.21 GB for Android and iOS devices. Regarding the subsequent Version 4.7 update, leaks suggest players may receive a free 5-star character and a special ‘Ex-Eidolon’ mechanic, which reportedly functions as an ‘E7 power-up’. This mechanic is rumored to be available for Acheron, Jing Yuan, and Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae, though players may only be able to select one for free. Additionally, leaks indicate forthcoming ‘Novaflare buffs’ intended to improve the viability of characters such as Ruan Mei, The Herta, and Sunday in endgame content.
