Following the initial unveiling of MagicOS 11, Honor officially presented the operating system at its Global Developer Conference. The update, based on Android 17, maintains its “liquid glass” design and utilizes the Luminous and Hummingbird architectures. These architectures are claimed to deliver up to 20% faster system animations and accelerate program launches by at least 15%. Technical advancements include an upgraded Yoyo AI assistant, which is designed to act as an “agentic operator” capable of executing complex, multi-step automated tasks involving up to 100 individual actions. In China, the assistant can connect with over 10,000 third-party AI services. The system also features “Storage Space 2.0,” utilizing lossless compression to potentially free up 60GB of data, and improved connectivity for file sharing with the Apple, Oppo, vivo, and Xiaomi ecosystems. Additionally, Honor is expanding its Learning Space app to smartphones, providing AI-driven homework assistance and synchronized educational materials for compatible devices.
