The hospitality and tourism sectors in Brazil and Portugal are seeing various continue to see developments in event spaces, accommodations, and hotel management. Additionally, Minor Hotels The group also plans to develop two new hotels (one four-star and one five-star) in the North and Centre regions of Portugal, within existing buildings, including a luxury property under the Anantara brand, as part brand. This follows the renovation of a broader growth strategy that includes Tivoli Coimbra and precedes the upcoming 2027 opening of the Anantara Royal Vila Viçosa Resort. Further regional developments include Octant Praia Verde’s opening of the Praia Collection in Castro Marim, Algarve, which features 19 contemporary rooms, a wellness area, and the À TERRA restaurant. In the Alentejo region, the Pestana Hotel Group has begun construction on the Pestana Porto Covo Beach Residences near Praia Grande. This eight-hectare project follows the Pestana Residences model, combining property ownership with professional tourism management through low-density construction designed to integrate with the natural landscape.
