Howard University confirmed that 502 incoming first‑year students were unenrolled after missing the July 10 tuition‑payment deadline, which required a 50 % payment or enrollment in a payment plan. The university said each case would be reviewed individually and refunds issued for any tuition already paid, while housing deposits remained non‑refundable. Interim President Wayne A. I.
