In late July 2026, Huawei’s Hongmeng Zhixing brand showcased two milestones in China’s smart‑car market. On July 21, the Wenjie M6 earned top G+ scores in the China Smart Car Index, excelling in safety, driving assistance, lane‑keeping and parking, while the Hongmeng G9 SUV secured Beijing’s first L3 autonomous‑driving test licence for speeds up to 120 km/h. Ten days later, Huawei announced that the newly launched Wenjie M9 had shipped more than 20,000 units within seven weeks, setting a delivery record for the sub‑500,000‑yuan segment. The update also reiterated the M6’s strong performance in the CARI IVISTA assessment, underscoring Huawei’s rapid progression from technology validation to high‑volume market adoption of advanced electric vehicles.
