Huawei’s FreeClip 2 S open-ear earbuds, launched in Europe in mid-July 2026, have expanded globally. The Space Silver edition appeared in Portugal, and the model reached Singapore on 24 July, featuring a 5.1 g design, IP57 rating, and up to 38 hours of playback. A “Signature Edition” co-created with Les Néréides launched in Italy and the UK on 14 July, priced at €229 and £169.99 (promo) until 17 August. In Turkey, Huawei prepared for the launch by highlighting the device’s AI-driven sound analysis and a redesigned Airy C-Bridge that reduces ear pressure by approximately 25%. The product was listed at 12,999 TL, though a specific launch date remained unset. In Brazil, the earbuds debuted on 8 August, promoted by actress Isis Valverde, who noted they “feel like a fashion accessory while delivering an intelligent listening experience.” The launch included availability on Mercado Livre with discounts of up to 33%. During Brazil’s 8.8 promotional campaign, the FreeClip 2 S was reduced from R$1,499 to R$999. Huawei also offered up to 58% off the existing FreeClip 2 model during this period. Technical specifications for the series include a third-generation audio chip and an NPU AI processor for real-time sound correction. The design utilizes liquid silicone that is 25% softer than previous versions and a charging case with 20% more internal space. The FreeClip 2 line, which held top global sales for clip-on headphones in 2024 and 2025, utilizes a titanium-nickel alloy C-bridge architecture. To complement the series, Huawei collaborated with the brand Flicka to release a capsule jewelry collection named “Movement”. Recent updates highlight the device’s positioning as a fusion of technology and jewelry, featuring a design inspired by liquid metals and natural tones. Available in Deepsea Blue and Space Silver, each earbud weighs approximately 5.1 grams.
