Humanitarian aid operation in El Impenetrable
Overview
The Argentine government has announced ‘Operation No. 133’ (also referred to as ‘Interfluvio 133’), a five-day humanitarian mission scheduled to run from November 2 to November 6 in the El Impenetrable region of Chaco.
Coordinated by the provincial government, the National Ministry of Human Capital, and the Ministry of Human Development, the operation will utilize the Argentine Army’s Mountain Brigade to provide logistical support to remote and difficult-to-access areas. The initiative aims to distribute 22,000 food modules and 38,400 bottles of mineral water directly to approximately 48 settlements and localities without intermediaries.
Distribution is set to begin in Villa Río Bermejito and Puerto Lavalle, with subsequent stops in locations including El Canal, 10 de Mayo, La Pelolé, Manantiales, El Espinillo, and Palo Santo. Authorities noted that the distribution schedule remains subject to weather conditions and road accessibility.
