Hungarian lottery jackpot accumulations

Overview

In August 2026, Hungarian lottery draws experienced a period of unclaimed jackpots. For the Hatos lottó (Six Lotto), the jackpot accumulated for 11 consecutive draws, with expectations that it would reach 880 million HUF.

During the same period, the Ötöslottó (Five Lotto) jackpot grew significantly. Following 11 consecutive draws without a top prize winner, the Ötöslottó jackpot reached 1.725 billion forints by August 15, 2026. While the jackpot remained unclaimed, 31 players matched four numbers to win 1,981,225 forints each, 2,360 players matched three numbers, and 57,667 players matched two numbers.

By early September, the Hatoslottó continued to see no jackpot winners. Following a drawing on September 3, 2026, the accumulated prize pool stood at 200 million forints. In the preceding drawing on August 30, while no one matched all six numbers, seven players matched five numbers, receiving approximately 2,008,895 forints each. Additionally, over 800 players matched four numbers and more than 15,000 players matched three numbers.

By late September, jackpots reached multi-billion forint levels. The Ötöslottó jackpot was expected to reach 3.66 billion forint in the September 26 drawing, following 17 consecutive draws without a top prize winner. Although this is near record levels, it remains below the all-time high of approximately 6.61 billion forint set in 2024.

On October 8, 2026, the Hatoslottó jackpot reached approximately 980 million forints, but no player matched all six numbers. Thirteen players won secondary prizes by matching five numbers, receiving 886,640 HUF each, while 743 players matched four numbers for 15,515 HUF each. The jackpot is expected to roll over to the October 11 drawing with an estimated 1,070 million forints.
