Hungarian reality show Az Árulók developments

The Hungarian reality crime program ‘Az Árulók – Gyilkosság a kastélyban’ has experienced several high-profile contestant departures and dramatic gameplay moments. Comedian Péter Elek was eliminated following a game of Russian roulette, noting his initial hesitation to join due to the psychological pressure of constant observation. Contestant Bettina Beslin noted that her personal grief regarding the loss of her father, a well-known investigator, may have influenced how other players perceived her.

Influencer Vivien Vasvári gained viral attention for her strategic gameplay and humorous remarks. The season concluded with a historic win for Vasvári and Piréz Sapkás, who were identified as original ‘Traitors’ from the start of the game, sharing a prize of 13,140,000 HUF. Tünde Polgár, who was eliminated by the traitors just before the finale, stated she had suspected the winners for several days but could not convince other players.

Other participants have shared reflections on their experiences. Actor Zalán Takács explained that a verbal slip-up, where he used the word ‘Konklávé’ instead of ‘Ártatlanok’ (Innocents), led to his elimination. Additionally, art dealer Dávid Kováts discussed his personal history and financial struggles in relation to his time on the program.

Regarding production, Tünde Polgár revealed that participants were housed in a nearby hotel rather than the castle and were kept in complete isolation from the outside world, without access to phones, televisions, or family contact.
