Citing recent events in Ceuta, Spain, Magyar warned that legal loopholes could be exploited by human smuggling networks to create rapid border crises.

In a simultaneous development, the Hungarian government announced it has met the necessary conditions to access approximately 5,500 to 6,000 billion Forint in EU recovery and cohesion funds. These resources are intended for power grid modernization, renewable energy, and domestic business support. However, despite this influx of funding, Fitch Ratings has raised its estimate of the Hungarian budget deficit to 7.5 percent of GDP, citing weaker growth forecasts.
