He also highlighted a trend where some patients, particularly men, stop taking prescribed medication due to concerns regarding sexual side effects.

In response, Kwame Sarpong Asiedu of the Centre for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) has called for a shift toward a proactive healthcare model that actively screens healthy individuals for chronic conditions like high cholesterol and coronary heart disease, rather than a reactive system.
