Hyundai Motor Group continues to expand its mobility-focused training and talent development initiatives globally. In South Korea, the company has conducted advanced technical training for service professionals from eight nations, including Nepal, India, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Turkey, Poland, and Singapore. From September 14 to 18, 28 participants—comprising 18 students and 10 instructors—attended sessions at the Hyundai Cheonan Global Learning Center. The curriculum covered electric vehicle principles, battery technology, vehicle communication, charging systems, E-GMP, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). To demonstrate the full manufacturing and service lifecycle, the program included site visits to the Hyundai Steel Dangjin Steelworks, the Hyundai Asan Plant, the Hyundai Goyang Hi-Tech Center, and Hyundai Motorstudio Goyang. Instructors are tasked with developing specialized Hyundai curricula in their respective home countries, while high-performing students may be offered employment at Hyundai’s global sales and service locations. Furthering its regional talent pipeline, Hyundai Motor Türkiye (HMTR) has launched the ninth iteration of its ‘HGenius’ Long-Term Internship Program. This nine-month initiative targets final-year university and graduate students, offering hands-on experience with real projects and advanced manufacturing technologies. Successful participants may receive priority for future employment at HMTR. These efforts complement the domestic ‘HINT’ (HMG Incubation of New Talent) program, which provides specialized tracks in ‘Mobility AI’ and ‘Manufacturing Intelligence’ for unemployed youth in South Korea. Expanding its recruitment reach to the United States, the group hosted its inaugural HMG Tech Talent Forum in San Jose, California. The two-day event involved nine group affiliates, including Kia, Boston Dynamics, Motional, and 42dot, to recruit global talent across sectors such as AI, robotics, autonomous driving, and hydrogen energy. During the forum, Hyundai Motor CEO Jose Munoz highlighted the group’s transition into a ‘physical AI’ company that integrates robotics and autonomous driving through advanced software.
