The new energy vehicle brand iCAUR, a subsidiary of Chery Group, is preparing to enter the Vietnamese market by the end of 2026 through a joint venture between Geleximco and Chery. The brand focuses on a ‘Classic Boxy’ design philosophy to target outdoor enthusiasts. To prepare for the official launch, iCAUR has conducted product experience activities in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, testing the V27 and V23 SUV models. As part of its broader Southeast Asian expansion, iCAUR officially launched the V27 REEV SUV in Thailand in late September 2026. The Thai lineup includes the 2WD Pride, 2WD Prime, and 4WD Prestige versions, with local assembly planned for 2027. Technical specifications for the V27 REEV highlight a system power of 335 kW and a maximum torque of 505 Nm, allowing for 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in approximately six seconds. Its REEV technology utilizes an internal combustion engine as a generator to provide electricity to the motor, enabling a combined driving range exceeding 1,000 kilometers and an electric-only range of up to 150 kilometers for urban use. At the 2026 iCAUR International User Summit in Wuhu, China, the brand completed its V-Series lineup with the global debut of the V25 SUV. The V25 is a mid-sized SUV featuring a boxy silhouette, round LED headlights, and a rear-mounted spare wheel, with power outputs reaching up to 455 CV. It will be available in both Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and Range Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) configurations. iCAUR is pursuing an aggressive global strategy, aiming to enter more than 70 markets by 2027, including planned rollouts in Australia, the Philippines, Spain, and Switzerland. In China, Chery is scheduled to launch the iCar V25 EREV on November 19, 2026.
