IHG credit card reward and fee updates

Updates regarding IHG credit card benefits include current promotional offers and upcoming changes to certificate values and fee structures. The IHG One Rewards Premier Card is currently providing a welcome bonus of five free nights, each valued at up to 40,000 points, contingent upon spending $4,000 within the first three months of account opening. Additional current benefits include 10,000 bonus points for adding an authorized user within three months, up to $50 in United Airlines TravelBank cash annually, and a statement credit of up to $100 every four years for Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, or NEXUS. The card also offers 26X total points per dollar at IHG Hotels and Resorts and complimentary Platinum Elite status. Chase has announced a major overhaul of its IHG One Rewards portfolio, headlined by the launch of the IHG One Rewards Premier Select Credit Card. This new flagship card features a $350 annual fee, up to $300 in annual Food & Beverage Rewards at IHG properties, and a $200 annual airline statement credit. Chase is offering limited-time sign-up bonuses across the portfolio through November 18. Significant changes are scheduled for 2027. The IHG Premier card’s annual fee will increase from $99 to $150, and its automatic Platinum Elite status will be downgraded to Gold status; maintaining Platinum status will then require $15,000 in annual spending. Additionally, the Chase IHG Premier Business card’s anniversary free night certificate redemption limit will rise from 40,000 to 50,000 points for certificates issued after January 1, 2027. Both the IHG Business and Premier cards will face higher annual fees starting that year. As of October 2026, Chase has refreshed the IHG One Rewards portfolio into a tiered structure.
