IKEA has officially launched KONSTRUNDA, a limited-edition collection of 22 unique art objects designed to make contemporary art and creative design more accessible for everyday living. Developed over two and a half years, the project granted seven international creators significant freedom to experiment with various materials and techniques without the constraints of a rigid brief. The collection features a diverse range of items, including sculptural furniture such as side tables and stools, as well as decorative objects like glassware, ceramics, rugs, mirrors, and cushion covers. These pieces utilize materials including glass, wood, metal, and textiles to create expressive silhouettes and bold colors. Participating contributors include Swedish artist Lisa Reiser, designer Andua Masebo, and Indian creator Akanksha Deo, alongside Lisa Hill, Emanuele Stamuli, Ingrid Leander Berg, and Igor Holtermann. The initiative aims to facilitate a dialogue between design and art, allowing individuals to transform living spaces through unique, collectible pieces. As of September 2026, the collection is available in IKEA stores, with an online release scheduled for September 11, 2026.
