Incendiary incidents in Mexico and Latin America

In October, an attack involving incendiary devices occurred at the intersection of 11 and Miguel Hidalgo streets in Mexico, resulting in property damage but no injuries. Local authorities launched an investigation to identify those responsible. In November, a separate fire was reported in Tlaquepaque, Mexico, at a site used for bone storage and auto parts. Witnesses reported that an unknown individual allegedly entered the premises and intentionally set fire to accumulated materials before fleeing. Firefighters controlled the blaze, which produced heavy black smoke, and municipal police began searching for the suspect. In early November, several other fire incidents were reported across Latin America. In Mexico, a fire occurred during welding maintenance at the Mario Vázquez Raña gymnasium in Puebla, requiring a three month rehabilitation, and a tire fire was extinguished in Huamantla, Tlaxcala. A residential fire also caused damage to a house in Mazatlán, while a scrap yard in Tlaquepaque was targeted in an intentional fire. Other regional incidents included a vehicle fire in Argentina at Cumelén Country Club, the destruction of a Volkswagen Suran in Neuquén, and a large fire on Route 41 in Argentina that destroyed two trucks and damaged a warehouse. In Bolivia, security footage in Santa Cruz de la Sierra captured a man intentionally setting fire to a parked vehicle. Additionally, a fire in Valledupar, Colombia, destroyed approximately 90% of a craft business inventory.
