The mid‑2026 hiring surge in India continues to broaden beyond university faculties to a wide array of public‑sector posts. The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) confirmed seven consultant vacancies with a walk‑in interview on 30 July; applicants may be up to 65 years old and must meet the prescribed qualifications. The National Book Trust (NBT) issued a single Executive Assistant posting, closing on 5 August, with an upper age limit of 35 years, a bachelor’s degree in English or a related humanities field, and at least three years of relevant experience. Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) added a Probationary Legal Officer (E‑II) role in Bengaluru, deadline 20 August, requiring a full‑time LLB and limiting candidates to 25 years of age. State governments are also launching massive hiring drives. Uttar Pradesh plans roughly 150,000 posts for 2026 across police, education and revenue departments, including about 500 PCS exam positions and 20,000 revenue accountant slots. Rajasthan will recruit over 10,000 lower‑division clerks and junior assistants through a CET‑based process, while Karnataka opened recruitment for more than 2,300 police constables and additional teaching posts. In Rajasthan’s Dausa district, a 12‑day direct‑recruitment camp series (31 July‑18 August) will select security guards, supervisors and officers without a written exam, with camps at Nangal Rajavatana, Lavas, Ramgarh and Dausa, followed by a month of training. Parallel notices from other agencies mirror Higher‑education institutions are adding to the same momentum. Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women reiterated its call for 36 professor‑level posts, deadline posts (deadline 21 August. August). North Eastern Hill University added a Junior Research Fellow slot in earth‑science (deadline 9 August). Delhi Transco Limited opened Assistant Manager (HR)‑Trainee and Medical Officer‑Trainee roles (deadline 14 August). AIIMS Bhopal listed an assistant‑professor nursing vacancy (deadline 9 August).
