India concluded the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games with a record 39 medals—13 gold, 17 silver, and 9 bronze—finishing fourth overall behind Australia, England, and Canada. The campaign was defined by several historic milestones. In para-sports, Sharmila Dhankar secured India’s first-ever para-athletics gold with a women’s F57 shot-put win, while para-sprinter Dilip Mahadu Gavit claimed gold in the men’s T47 100m. Para-athletes achieved a total haul of seven medals. Boxing remained emerged as a dominant force, topping setting a new record by finishing at the top of the boxing medal table standings with seven gold medals and ten podium finishes. Notable boxing three silver medals, surpassing the previous record of six golds held by England and Canada. Key champions included Sakshi Dhanda (51kg), who noted sponsorship from Virat Kohli’s foundation, and Arundhati Choudhary (70kg), and Ankush Panghal.
