The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is nearing the final stages of its investigation into the NEET UG paper leak scandal. Following allegations of organized malpractice, solver gangs, and security failures within the National Testing Agency (NTA), the agency is expected to file its final charge sheet in court within the coming week. Raids conducted across Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi have reportedly identified various masterminds and members of cheating networks. The upcoming legal filing is expected to include digital and documentary evidence detailing the specific roles of the accused in the organized syndicate. In a recent development, the CBI filed a supplementary chargesheet in a Delhi court involving a 14th accused, Sheshrav Bajrang Suryawanshi, also known as Raj Suryawanshi. The agency alleges that Suryawanshi, a resident of Nanded, Maharashtra, colluded with co-accused Shubham Khairnar to provide medical entrance examination papers to candidates for money. According to the CBI, Suryawanshi organized meetings in Nanded to distribute papers and confiscated candidates’ original educational certificates and identity cards to ensure payment after the examination. This follows an investigation that began in May, involving arrests across Rajasthan, Gurugram, Nashik, and Pune, and centered on the distribution of leaked PDFs via Telegram.
