The BCCI initially announced the India Under-19 squads for an upcoming series against Australia, consisting of three ODIs and two multi-day matches scheduled to begin September 18 in Rajkot and Ahmedabad. The original selection included Aaryavir Sehwag and Anvay Dravid, with Lakshya Raichandani appointed as the ODI captain and Yashbardhan Chauhan as vice-captain. Following the initial announcement, the BCCI updated the squads after an investigation by the Cricket Association of Bengal revealed Bengal, the BCCI updated the squads after a “27-month discrepancy” in the age records of Rohit Yadav. Consequently, Yadav was removed revealed. Further investigations by the BCCI age verification wing found inconsistencies in Yadav’s documentation, with birth years listed across different records ranging from 2006 to 2010. As a consequence of these age fraud findings, the team BCCI has imposed a two-year ban on Yadav, prohibiting him from participating in all domestic and age-group competitions. He has been replaced in the ODI squad by Aryan Savasani and in the multi-day squad by Tanmay Baloda. While Raichandani remains the captain of the white-ball side, Yashvardhan Chauhan has been designated to lead the multi-day squad.
