Indian business schools Financial Times case rankings
Overview
In October 2026, the Financial Times released its assessment of the world’s most popular teaching cases, highlighting the global impact of Indian management institutions.
The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) ranked 11th globally and first in India. The assessment noted that IIMB teaching cases were used by approximately 680 higher-education institutions in nearly 50 countries during 2024 and 2025. The institute reported a nearly 32% increase in case sales between 2024 and 2025.
Following this, the S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) was ranked 15th globally and second in India. The institute’s Dean, Prof. Varun Nagaraj, stated that the global reach of their cases, many rooted in Indian contexts, demonstrates how scholarship can “influence decision-making and address real-world business dilemmas.”
