Indian squash players have achieved notable progress in various PSA professional tournaments. During the HCL Squash PSA Challenger Tour in Kolkata, Suraj Kumar Chand advanced to the quarter-finals after defeating Egypt’s Hassan Menshawi. Other Indian successes in the tournament included Sandesh Palanivel Ravikumar, who secured a comeback victory, and top seed Tanvi Khanna, who moved into the women’s quarter-finals. In the Budapest Open, a PSA copper event in Hungary, Hungary with a $43,500 prize fund, Velavan Senthilkumar and Veer Chotrani advanced deep into the competition. Senthilkumar, seeded 9/16, reached the semifinals following an upset victory against top seed and Malaysian player Eain Yow Ng. Additionally, Meanwhile, third seed Veer Chotrani advanced to reached the quarterfinals after defeating Portugal’s Rui Soares. Senthilkumar ultimately won the Budapest Open Squash Championship, defeating local favorite Balázs Farkas in the final with straight games (11-4, 11-2, 11-3). His championship run included a quarter-final win over the world No. 19, Eain Yow Ng, and a five-game semifinal victory against compatriot Veer Chotrani. This victory marks Senthilkumar’s 11th title on the PSA Tour.
