Indiana Secretary of State election competition

The race for Indiana Secretary of State has become a focal point for discussions on election administration and party influence. The outcome of the election is significant because state law dictates which political parties hold seats on all 92 county election boards, which in turn determines the nomination of precinct election officers and candidate ballot ordering for the following four years.
