In August 2026, IndiGo experienced a series of technical issues. Initially, the airline’s reservation platform suffered multiple disruptions that prevented passengers from booking flights, checking in online, or processing payments. Users reported receiving a “no data available” message on the website and mobile application. On August 19, 2026, the airline faced a significant disruption to its core reservation platform, which prevented bookings, web check-ins, and payment confirmations. IndiGo issued a service advisory stating that technical teams were working with a technology partner to resolve the intermittent issues involving its Navitaire reservation system. An official indicated that operations eventually returned to normal. Following these digital service interruptions, a physical technical issue occurred involving a flight traveling from Trichy to Singapore. The aircraft, carrying 127 passengers, was forced to return to Trichy International Airport after experiencing a mid-air technical snag. After circling the area for approximately two and a half hours to reduce fuel, the plane landed safely. Authorities safely at around 9 pm on August 21. Airport Director Gopalakrishnan confirmed the safe landing, and authorities provided an alternative flight to ensure the passengers reached their destination.
