In late July 2026, Indonesia hosted two high‑profile golf events. The D’CHAMP Charity Golf Tournament at Riverside Golf Club in Depok attracted 157 participants from business, government and the golf community, with proceeds earmarked for youth golf development and support for pesantren. A concurrent Golfphoria tournament at Bali International Golf featured 312 players in a reggae‑themed festival atmosphere and pursued a Guinness World Record. As the season progressed, the Jakarta Golf Club (JGC) Championship was set for 4–6 August in Rawamangun. This pro‑am event, featuring 90 professional and amateur golfers from Indonesia, South Korea, and England, included notable figures such as Indonesian golfer Galih Anatra Wiratno and JGC President Ramli Ibrahim. PGATI chairman Agus Triyono emphasized during a pre‑tournament press conference that the event aims to boost the country’s international competitiveness. Following this, the fourth edition of The Indonesia Pro-Am, presented by Combiphar and Nomura, took place from 19–21 August at the Gunung Geulis Country Club in Bogor. As part of the Asian Development Tour (ADT) calendar, the tournament featured 109 professional golfers and 98 amateur golfers from various countries. The competition utilized both the East and West Courses and featured a unique format where professionals and amateurs played their own balls rather than using a best-ball system. Chinese golfer Andi Xu secured the individual ~~title.~~ title with a total score of 195, finishing one stroke ahead of Australia’s Darcy Brereton. The event aimed to provide Indonesian amateurs with professional competitive experience and strengthen Indonesia’s position as an international golf destination in Asia.
