The anti-corruption drive in Indonesia continued to expand in early August 2026. Investigations in Wonosobo into the misappropriation of Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) social assistance between 2018 and 2026 revealed that over 600 families may have been deprived of aid through the seizure of bank books and social assistance cards, with losses totaling billions of rupiah. In Ponorogo, a former DPRD chairman and a finance chief were named suspects in a housing allowance scheme for the 2023–2026 period, which allegedly inflated appraisals by 15% and cost the state approximately Rp3.6 billion. In Ambon, the District Attorney's Office named two officials from PT Dok dan Perkapalan Waiame Ambon as suspects for the mismanagement of company funds between 2020 and 2024. The alleged corruption caused an estimated Rp18.96 billion in state losses; investigators have seized cash, luxury goods, and vehicles, though the suspects remain at large. Additionally, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has faced criticism from the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI) regarding a year-long delay in detaining two members of parliament, Satori and Heri Gunawan. The pair are suspects in a corruption case involving CSR funds related to Bank Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority (OJK), with an estimated loss of Rp28.38 billion. On August 10, 2026, the KPK detained four suspects—Widi Hartoto, Ikin Asikin Dulmanan, Suhendrik, and Elang Sophan Jaya Kusuma—in connection with advertising procurement corruption at PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat dan Banten (Bank BJB) for the 2021–2023 fiscal years. The case involves the allocation of Rp410 billion for media placement and is estimated to have caused state losses of approximately Rp223 billion. Investigators are examining fund flows to influencer Lisa Mariana Presley Zulkandar and potential links to West Java Provincial Government officials. Bank BJB President Director Yuddy Renaldi has not been detained due to illness.
