In late July 2026, Indonesia’s state‑owned toll operator Jasa Marga began a series of infrastructure upgrades across its network. The first action announced was a new “Travoy Rest” standard for rest areas, converting 26 of 62 sites on the Cipularang corridor to higher‑cleanliness, green‑design facilities with EV charging, upgraded toilets and waste‑water treatment. To meet this benchmark, the Tomang tollgate and an adjacent ramp were closed from 24 July to 9 August for pavement reconstruction, with traffic rerouted via alternate exits. A few days later, Jasa Marga reported routine maintenance on the Jakarta‑Cikampek toll corridor, including pavement reconstruction at several points, enhanced traffic engineering and safety equipment deployment. Motorists were informed through dynamic signs, social‑media updates and roadside banners, and were urged to plan trips and follow field staff instructions. By late August, Jasa Marga subsidiary PT Jasamarga Tollroad Maintenance (JMTM) expanded these efforts through ongoing preservation work across various sections to maintain Minimum Service Standards (SPM). President Director Rivan A. Purwantono noted that regular preservation is essential due to high traffic volumes and the impact of Over Dimension Overloading (ODOL) vehicles, which accelerate pavement degradation. To minimize commuter disruption, much of this maintenance is scheduled during night and early morning hours, utilizing lane restrictions and warning signs in compliance with government regulations. From 24 August to 1 September 2026, maintenance and pavement reconstruction efforts expanded across the Jabodetabek region to ensure road safety and user comfort. Key affected routes include the Jagorawi Toll Road, the Jakarta-Tangerang Toll Road, and the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) E and W2S. Specific scheduled works include maintenance on the Jagorawi On Ramp Sentul 2, several JORR E ramps including Cikunir 1 and Kalimalang 1, and various JORR W2S access points such as Veteran 1 and the Bintaro Viaduct.
