In October 2026, Bank Indonesia reported that approximately Rp68.35 trillion in new credit was channeled into the housing sector to finance roughly 115,000 homes. This initiative, part of the Macroprudential Liquidity Incentive policy, aims to support green and inclusive development. However, subsidized housing realization reached only 45.73% of the government target by the end of the third quarter. Analysts noted that affordability, rising prices, and bankability issues remain significant hurdles for consumers. By late October, the Financial Services Authority reported that total Indonesian banking credit reached a ten year high, exceeding Rp9,200 trillion. While corporate and investment lending showed strong growth of over 20%, consumer credit growth slowed to approximately 4.7% to 5.07%. Major institutions like BCA, CIMB Niaga, and Permata Bank reported varied expansion results, though analysts cautioned regarding tight liquidity and compressed net interest margins. As of November 1, 2026, the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas reported that Housing Program Credit (KPP) or KUR Perumahan reached Rp29.17 trillion, benefiting 119,790 debtors and representing 70.85 percent of the annual target. Sri Haryati, the Director General of Urban Housing, stated this progress is vital for the national housing ecosystem. Meanwhile, BP Tapera reported that Home Ownership Loans (KPR) through the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) reached 194,360 units as of October 31, 2026, accounting for 55.53 percent of the 350,000 unit annual target.
