Indonesian community sports organizational developments

Overview

The Indonesian Community Sports Committee (KORMI) has expanded its digital and regional presence. In late September 2026, KORMI launched the digital platform gelorakormi.id to organize and provide access to recreational sports activities. During the same period, Central Sulawesi was designated as the host for the ninth National Community Recreational Sports Festival (Fornas IX) scheduled for 2027.

By early October 2026, regional organizational developments continued with the inauguration of new leadership in West Bandung Regency for the 2026–2031 period. The West Bandung KORMI leadership stated its intention to increase community involvement by expanding activities to the sub-district and village levels.
