The 2026/2027 BRI Super League season has seen significant competitive shifts and disciplinary actions. Persija Jakarta has maintained a perfect start, securing four consecutive victories. Following wins against Borneo FC, Persib Bandung, and Java United FC, Persija secured a dominant 4–0 victory against PSIM Yogyakarta at Sultan Agung Stadium during week four. After a scoreless first half, Alexander Jeremejeff opened the scoring in the 77th minute, followed by goals from Stjepan Loncar in the 81st and 90+3 minutes, and Kwon Chang-hoon in the 87th minute. This result places Persija at the top of the league standings with 12 points. Persija coach Shin Tae-yong noted that while the international break impacted training, the team has found a “successful tactical formula.” Other notable results include Bali United achieving a 6–1 win against Persijap Jepara, featuring a hattrick by Jort Van Der Sande, and Persita Tangerang securing a 2–1 victory over Garudayaksa FC. PSS Sleman also ended a losing streak with a 3–0 win against PSM Makassar, fueled by two goals from Hiromu Tanaka. Java United FC defeated Borneo FC 2–1, while Arema FC and Bhayangkara FC played to a 2–2 draw. Java United FC continues to face heavy sanctions from the PSSI Disciplinary Committee following crowd disturbances and discriminatory conduct. The club, its players, and officials have been fined a total of Rp760 million. Technical Director Achmad Resal Octavian received a Rp500 million fine and a 10-match ban, while players Yakob Sayuri and Yance Sayuri are suspended for four matches. Persib Bandung continues to navigate squad challenges, including the absence of goalkeeper coach Mario Jozic. Coach Igor Tolic noted the squad is dealing with fatigue following participation in the ASEAN Club Championship as they prepare to face league leaders Dewa United. Tolic highlighted that the team has had limited preparation time, managing only one training session following their recent match against Port FC. Midfielder Thom Haye emphasized the necessity of respecting Dewa United’s form amidst Persib’s dense schedule.
