Regional police departments across Indonesia have expanded their mobile driver’s license (SIM) renewal schedules for August 2026, targeting SIM A and SIM C licenses. These initiatives utilize mobile units, public service malls (MPP), and specialized evening sessions to increase accessibility. In Gunungkidul, the local police have introduced several specialized programs to reach rural residents. These include the SIMMADE program at Balai Kalurahan Wiladeg and Siraman, SIMPITU at Toserba Sambipitu, and SIM Station at Terminal Dhaksinarga. Regular SIM Keliling services are also scheduled at Polsek Ponjong and the Rongkop District Office. A ‘Saturday Night Service’ is available every Saturday at 19:00 WIB at the Argosari Pasar Wonosari parking area. In the Jakarta and Tangerang regions, Polda Metro Jaya continues to deploy mobile units to locations such as the Promoter Building, Universitas Trilogi, Mall Grand Cakung, LTC Glodok, Mall Artha Gading, and Graha Nobu. Other regions, including Sleman, Bandung, Bogor, and Bekasi, maintain active mobile service points at various malls, district offices, and public ~~halls, including weekend night services in Sleman.~~ halls. To complement physical mobile units, Korlantas Polri has strengthened digital services, allowing citizens to renew licenses online through a dedicated application, provided the licenses remain valid. Furthermore, Polda Metro Jaya recently hosted a community event for online motorcycle taxi drivers, providing free SIM extensions, vehicle emission tests, and health checks to foster synergy between the police and the driver community. Applicants must provide a photocopy of a valid KTP, the original old SIM, and proof of health and psychological tests. Officials emphasize that these services are strictly for renewing active licenses; expired licenses must be processed as new applications at the Satpas office.
