Indonesian food task forces have conducted inspections across multiple regions to monitor rice prices and ensure compliance with government-mandated Maximum Retail Prices (HET). In West Java, officials reported that rice prices in Bandung markets remain stable, with medium-grade rice at approximately Rp13,500 per kilogram and premium rice at Rp14,900 per kilogram. To prepare for potential dry season disruptions, Bulog has accelerated grain absorption, with stocks in West Java projected to be secure through 2027. Similar monitoring efforts were carried out in North Jakarta and Bojonegoro. In North Jakarta, police inspected traders in the Muara Angke area, while in Bojonegoro, authorities monitored both traditional markets and modern retailers. These inspections confirmed that rice prices remain relatively stable and that current stocks are sufficient to meet community needs. In Tangerang, Polda Metro Jaya’s Special Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimsus) conducted inspections at locations including Pasar Anyar, Superindo Cipondoh, and Hypermart Mall Metropolis. AKBP Muhammad Ardila Amry confirmed that supplies remain stable and compliant with regulatory ceilings. Monitoring revealed medium rice is priced at Rp12,500 per kilogram, premium rice at Rp14,900 per kilogram, and Food Supply and Price Stabilization (SPHP) rice at Rp12,500 per kilogram.
