In late August 2026, the state governments of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh announced major infrastructure investments. Rajasthan’s Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma detailed a project exceeding ₹35,107 crore to expand road networks to rural and urban areas. Simultaneously, Madhya Pradesh’s Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav approved ₹10,630 crore for various sectors, including a ₹4,600 crore loan to the Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation for major route construction. By mid-September 2026, the Madhya Pradesh ~~Cabinet~~ Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Yadav, expanded its development ~~agenda,~~ agenda by approving proposals exceeding ₹42,490 crore. A primary focus of this funding is the ‘Samagra Shiksha Yojana’, with over ₹36,006 crore allocated to sustain school education quality and vocational training through 2031. In the irrigation ~~projects covering 127,000 hectares, alongside administrative expansions~~ sector, more than ₹2,607 crore was approved for three major projects—Chitawad in ~~newly formed districts.~~ Ujjain, Gaund in Singrauli, and Chanderi in Ashoknagar—aiming to develop irrigation capacity across more than 127,000 hectares. The Cabinet also approved an interest-free loan of ₹2,220 crore to Markfed and sanctioned special assistance of ₹250 for ‘Ladli Behna’ beneficiaries during Raksha Bandhan.
