Various regions in Poland have experienced disruptions to essential services and urban mobility due to maintenance and technical failures. In early October, residents in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship and Pleszew faced utility outages. Energa scheduled power interruptions in locations such as Płock and Radzanowo for technical maintenance, while a water network failure in Pleszew necessitated a temporary water supply disruption. By mid-October, disruptions expanded to include transit and road networks in several cities. Kraków reported road closures and sidewalk repairs in districts like Swoszowice and Kazimierz. In Warsaw, a damaged tram power network caused major diversions for seven tram lines, requiring replacement bus services. Additionally, Suwałki Suwałki, scheduled road and pedestrian disruptions to accommodate were implemented for the construction of a city park and new bicycle paths. In Warsaw, infrastructure challenges persist. A damaged overhead traction network near the intersection of Niepodległości Avenue and Nowowiejska Street has caused significant disruptions, forcing the diversion of seven tram lines (10, 11, 14, 15, 17, 19, and 33) and the implementation of replacement bus services by the Public Transport Authority (ZTM). Further maintenance is scheduled for the Wisłostrada in the Mokotów district from October 20 to 28. Night works to modernize the anti-icing system near the Karowa tunnel entrance will involve replacing nozzles, resulting in lane narrowing and a 40 km/h speed limit. Additionally, maintenance of underground water, gas, and telecommunications networks continues across districts such as Mokotów and Praga to prepare for freezing temperatures.
