Authorities in Mexico and the Dominican Republic continue to implement various infrastructure and sanitation projects to improve water access and service stability. In the Dominican Republic, the CAASD has successfully delivered the new wells in the La Puya and La Yagüita sectors of Santo Domingo, which are intended to resolve long-standing water shortages. Additionally, the National Institute of Potable Water and Sewerage (INAPA) has begun delivering materials for a potable water project in the Come Callao community of Barahona. Additionally, the CAASD has activated two new wells in the La Puya and La Yagüita sectors of Santo Domingo, which are expected to provide over 1.2 million gallons of water daily to address long-standing shortages. In Mexico, recent efforts include the construction of a regulation tank by the Comisión Estatal de Servicios Públicos de Tijuana (CESPT) to divert up to 1,100 liters per second of treated water away from the Tijuana River channel, aiming to improve basin sanitation and reduce flows toward the United States border. In San Luis Capital, the local government has expanded its hydraulic infrastructure through a master plan to rehabilitate water treatment plants and expand networks for 150,000 residents. Other regional activities include potable water network renewals in the Guadalupe Borja neighborhood of Frontera, Coahuila, and maintenance work in Córdoba, Veracruz, where Hidrosistema announced service interruptions in 25 colonies due to pipeline interconnection works. In Tamaulipas, programs continue to rehabilitate hydro-sanitary infrastructure to address sinkholes, while operations in Santo Domingo Tehuantepec involve desilting the Tehuantepec River to improve water pressure.
