Leaked specifications disclosed a 1‑inch‑class CMOS sensor capable of 8K 60 fps 10‑bit video, HDR, >100 MP stills and a 2,600‑3,000 mAh battery. Mid‑July images showed a compact, dual‑fisheye body with a rounded side display and a front‑facing preview screen. A detailed leak on 13 July confirmed two 1/1.1‑inch 42 MP sensors (120 MP combined), an OLED touchscreen up to 1,200 nits and up to 233 minutes of recording. On 16 July Insta360 launched French promotions for the X4 and X5, offering accessories and discounts. A new development on 23 July highlighted the X4 Air as an affordable 8K 30 fps 360° action camera, priced at £389 for the starter bundle, featuring replaceable lenses, waterproof construction and the brand’s “invisible selfie‑stick” effect. CEO Liu Jingkang of imaging firm 影石 commented on intense price competition in the sport‑camera market and hinted at upcoming products, fueling speculation about the unreleased X6 and Ace Pro 3. The following day, a packaging leak of the X6 revealed an Essentials bundle (camera, Extra Xtreme battery, 114 cm invisible selfie stick, lens cap, charge case, USB‑C cable, protective pouch, lens cloth, quick‑start guide) and the Dolby Vision logo. European listings priced the bundle around €789, with launch dates ranging from a reported July 30 release to a late‑August/early‑September timeframe.
