Following the official launch of the Insta360 X6 on 10 August 2026, further details have emerged regarding its hardware and ecosystem. The tenth-anniversary flagship utilizes dual custom Sony 1/1.1-inch square sensors, offering 33% more surface area than the X5 to improve light intake and low-light performance. Some reports indicate these sensors provide approximately “four times the light intake per frame” compared to the previous X5 model. The device supports 8K video recording at up to 50fps in 360 mode, and is the first 360 camera to provide native in-camera Dolby Vision support and 10-bit color depth. A triple-chip AI architecture, consisting of an 8-core 3.3GHz 4nm processor and two dedicated imaging chips, delivers 500% more computing power than the X5 while reducing power consumption by 35%. Key features include the PanoMind AI model, InstaFrame 2.0 for automatic subject tracking, and an AI Director for automated video editing.
