The July 2024 operation at Kuala Lumpur International Airport was the largest single haul recorded, with police seizing 247.8 kg of cannabis, cash, jewellery and other items worth about RM20 million. Seven suspects – a local woman and six foreign nationals – were arrested, bringing the total confiscated at KLIA since January to over half a metric ton and 38 arrests. German customs later intercepted two suitcases from Abu Dhabi at Frankfurt Airport containing 36 kg of marijuana, leading to provisional arrests of two young men. In August 2026, German customs at the Görlitz Altstadt bridge seized 8.4 g of cannabis from a traveller, and Austrian police in the Graz region dismantled a drug ring, confiscating roughly 100 kg of marijuana, designer drugs and related cash and weapons valued at about €1.3 million. Other incidents include a ~~30‑year‑old~~ 30-year-old woman in Paraguay caught with 108.7 g of marijuana concealed in her body while visiting a prison inmate.
