Organ music performances and concert series continue across Europe and Japan through late 2026. In Germany, September features a variety of specialized programs. In Leutkirch, the organ matinee series concludes on September 12 with Emma Geser, Bernd Geser, and Franz Günthner performing works by Rheinberger and Mozart, as well as Bach’s ‘Air’. Loccum Abbey hosts Ukrainian organist Stanislav Yakovliev on September 6 for a ‘Music for Reflection’ concert, featuring a repertoire spanning three centuries, including works by Buxtehude, Händel, and Mendelssohn Bartholdy. Further developments in the German concert season include the ‘Herbst-Orgelpunkt’ series at St. Sebastian Cathedral in Magdeburg. Running from September 20 to November 22, the series is under the artistic direction of Matthias Mück and features the cathedral’s Eule organ. Admission is free, though donations are welcomed. Additionally, on September 25, Polish organist Professor Dr. Michał Markuszewski is scheduled to perform at St. Michael in Großbüllesheim, playing works by Bach, Rheinberger, Boëly, Bloch, and Elgar on the Seifert organ, accompanied by spiritual reflections from theologian Georg Schneider. Other notable events include the inauguration of the Klais organ at Heilig-Kreuz-Münster in Rottweil on September 20, and performances by French virtuoso Daniel Roth at Liebfrauenmünster in Ingolstadt on September 6. In early October, two free concerts are scheduled for October 4 in Germany. In Speyer, Robert Sattelberger will perform works by Bach and Max Reger at the Gedächtniskirche. In Kaltensundheim, church music director Sebastian Fuhrmann will present ‘Barocke Klangwelten’ on a historic 1743 organ, featuring music from Northern Germany, Central Germany, and France by composers such as Buxtehude, Clérambault, Böhm, Pachelbel, and Bach.
