International show jumping competitions featured high-level performances by several top riders in August 2026. At the Jumping International de Dinard, Swiss rider Steve Guerdat won the Derby on Easy Star de Talma, while posting a 14-second lead over the Mexican competitor and repeating his victory from La Baule. American Kristen Vanderveen secured victory in the Grand Prix 3* on Bull Run's Jireh. Jireh, finishing ahead of French riders Cédric Hurel and Cédric Angot. Following these events, Steve Guerdat continued his winning streak at the Dublin Horse Show, where he won the Rolex Grand Prix of Ireland after a competitive jump-off against a field of nine horses. In that competition, Jordan Coyle finished second aboard Chaccolino. Later in the month, Guerdat secured the FEI Jumping World Championship in Aachen. Riding the Selle-Français mare Dynamix de Belheme, he completed five rounds without a single fault, becoming the first Swiss rider to win the title. This victory follows a period where Guerdat faced significant physical challenges, including two surgeries for a herniated disc and neurological symptoms.
