The IFTM Top Resa trade show in Paris serves as a central platform for international tourism promotion. Early preparations included DTravel’s participation to highlight Portuguese destinations and Spanish cultural itineraries. During the 2026 edition, held from September 15 to 17, Morocco and Egypt utilized their pavilions to showcase regional diversity and heritage. The Moroccan pavilion, featuring 38 exhibitors including Royal Air Maroc, was opened by high-level officials such as advisor André Azoulay and Ambassador Samira Sitaïl. The showcase emphasized the cultural history of Essaouira—supported by the release of a new art book titled ‘Essaouira, Land of Encounters’—and the tourism potential of Dakhla. Egypt’s pavilion featured replicas of treasures from King Tutankhamun and artifacts from the Grand Egyptian Museum. French Minister Serge Pauban met with Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy to discuss increasing bilateral cooperation. During the meeting, Minister Pauban was presented with a replica of Tutankhamun’s mask as an invitation to visit the Grand Egyptian Museum. Following the 2026 event, Mexico was designated as the Guest of Honor for the 2027 edition. This announcement, made by tourism officials and the Mexican Embassy in France, seeks to mark 200 years of bilateral relations and expand the presence of Mexican culture and gastronomy in the European market. Additionally, Costa Rica intensified its promotion in France through the Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT), which launched an outdoor advertising campaign in Paris and participated with 14 companies to showcase the country’s biodiversity.
