On August 27, 2026, the State Attorney General's Office issued an arrest warrant for Juan Jesús “M” regarding accusations of aggravated rape and equivalent family violence against a minor. Reports indicate that Zapata Quintos died of mechanical asphyxia, allegedly after being submerged in water during hazing rituals. Juan Jesús “M” is the brother of Estrellita “M”, an instructor at the academy who has already been linked to the feminicide investigation.
