Former BIGBANG member Seungri is under police investigation for alleged special assault following a dispute at a restaurant in the Gangnam district of Seoul in late August. The incident reportedly began when a man in his 30s repeatedly requested to join Seungri’s ~~table.~~ table to discuss business ideas. While Seungri admitted to picking up a liquor bottle during the argument, he has denied using it to strike or threaten the individual. Seungri maintains that the interaction ended amicably and that the parties exchanged contact information, leading him to feel “blindsided” by the legal complaint. In response to recent online speculation regarding photos of Seungri at a social gathering, he clarified that those images were taken at a different time with acquaintances and are not related to the day of the dispute. To assist with the investigation, Seungri has indicated his intention to cooperate and has secured CCTV footage, text messages, and witness statements. He is also considering filing counter-charges for false accusation.
