Iran organized extensive cultural, social, and military programs to mark the 46th anniversary of Sacred Defense Week. Early preparations included thousands of scheduled events across various provinces, such as Kerman and Qazvin, aimed at honoring martyrs and promoting resistance culture to younger generations. Due to current wartime conditions, officials confirmed that a formal military parade would not be held. As the commemorations progressed, public rallies and assemblies took place, including the ‘Jan-fadayane Iran’ assembly in Hormozgan province, which spanned multiple cities and islands to demonstrate national unity. During these events, representatives from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) emphasized that the legacy of martyrs remains a strategic driving force for national resistance against perceived enemies. Recent developments show the expansion of these ceremonies into large-scale public gatherings. In Alborz province, officials have called for a massive 110,000-person assembly to showcase social cohesion and preparedness. In Hormozgan, the ‘Janfadayan-e Iran’ rally continues to organize across coastal areas and islands, including Bandar Abbas and Qeshm. Academic and local efforts have also intensified. The University of Birjand is collaborating with regional authorities to compile a provincial encyclopedia of the Sacred Defense. Meanwhile, in Abik, local citizens gathered to honor martyrs, and in Takestan, an IRGC spokesperson held a memorial service to reinforce the values of the Islamic Revolution and demonstrate public solidarity with national leadership. During the ongoing commemorations, military and Basij officials have emphasized the necessity of continued vigilance against evolving global threats. Colonel Mehdi Mohammadpour, commander of the 281st Armored Brigade, noted that while the era of the eight-year war has ended, methods of confrontation have changed.
