To celebrate their 50th career anniversary, heavy metal band Iron Maiden has announced various activities and tour dates for 2026. In Brazil, the band scheduled a themed street race in São Paulo called ‘Run for Your Lives’ for October 10, featuring multiple distance categories and a performance by the tribute band The Beast Experience. This precedes scheduled performances in São Paulo and Curitiba later in October. Additionally, the band announced the North American leg of their ‘Run for Your Lives Tour’, running from late August through September 2026. The tour includes stops in cities such as Toronto, Montreal, Boston, Chicago, and Los Angeles, as well as a headlining appearance at the Louder Than Life festival. Supported by Megadeth and Anthrax, the setlists will focus on the band’s first nine albums, featuring classic tracks such as ‘Hallowed Be Thy Name’ and ‘The Number of the Beast’. The ‘Run for Your Lives’ world tour features a setlist spanning five decades, covering hits from their 1980 self-titled debut through 1992’s ‘Fear of the Dark’. In the United States, the tour has moved into larger venues, including a scheduled appearance at a soccer stadium in Harrison, New Jersey. The tour also marks significant lineup changes, including the introduction of drummer Simon Dawson. The Latin American leg includes dates in Quito, Santiago, and São Paulo. A major performance is scheduled for October 17, 2026, at the Estadio Nacional in Lima, Peru, which has been noted as one of the fastest-selling metal shows in the region. During the Labor Day weekend of 2026, the tour officially kicked off during Labor Day weekend 2026 at the Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey. The two-night event drew approximately 25,000 fans each night and featured a triple bill with openers Megadeth and Anthrax. Following the kickoff, the band performed at Boston’s TD Garden. To date, the tour has achieved over one million ticket sales for stadium shows and festivals across Europe. To commemorate their history, the band is releasing a documentary film titled ‘Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition’ on 4K UltraHD and Blu-ray, directed by Malcolm Venville. The release includes restored archival footage, exclusive interviews, and special collector’s editions.
