Delhi Police dismantled an alleged espionage module linked to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) in the Delhi-NCR region. Authorities arrested a couple, Mohammad Sahil and Sameera, for allegedly providing logistical support to Pakistani intelligence operatives. Investigators report the couple had been in contact with Pakistani agents via social ~~media~~ media, specifically Instagram, since 2024. The module reportedly involved procuring Indian SIM cards and sending them to Pakistan through Dubai to activate WhatsApp accounts, which allowed operatives to join Indian groups and gather sensitive information. Between 2024 and 2025, the duo allegedly sent eight SIM cards to Pakistan for approximately Rs 30,000. Additionally, police claim Sahil was tasked with recruiting individuals to conduct reconnaissance of various Indian cantonment areas and gathering information on Indian Armed Forces personnel facing court-martial proceedings. Following the arrests, police seized mobile phones from the suspects; forensic analysis of these devices reportedly contains “incriminating communications with Pakistani handlers.” The investigation remains ongoing to identify further links within the network.
