In a recent escalation, Likud filed a petition with Election Commission Chairman Judge Noam Sohlberg, arguing the initiative is a form of ‘veiled bribery’ designed to benefit left-wing opposition parties, specifically linking the coalition to Yair Golan’s Democrats Party. The party claims the project violates campaign finance laws. Critics have highlighted the contradiction in the ruling party’s use of data-driven applications to mobilize its own voters while attempting to restrict diaspora access. The ‘Fly & Vote’ group maintains it uses technology to find discounts and does not directly pay for travel.
