Itamar Ben-Gvir calls for nightly killings of 30-40 Palestinians in Gaza

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has publicly called for the nightly targeted killing of 30 to 40 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. During a podcast appearance with former hostage Rom Braslavski, Ben-Gvir stated that these assassinations should not be limited to individuals posing an immediate threat.

Ben-Gvir used dehumanizing language during the conversation, asserting that certain people in Gaza “are not even people” and “do not deserve to live.” He also expressed strong disagreement with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to scale back military operations in Gaza as part of a ceasefire or peace plan.

Furthermore, the minister advocated for the mass emigration of the Palestinian population from Gaza to facilitate Israeli settlement across the entire territory. While Ben-Gvir sits on the security cabinet and oversees Israel’s police and prison services, he does not hold direct command authority over the military to order airstrikes or combat operations.
